About us
The Ben & Jerry's Gift Shop (the Site) is run by us at Intashop, based in the sunny Channel Islands. We're here to make it as easy as possible for you to buy some great goodies, but we can only take orders for goods to be shipped within the UK. We will be pleased to accept your order if you are based outside the UK if the items are going to be shipped to a UK address.
This page may seem a little lengthy but please be assured we have set out to explain everything that might be of interest to you before you make a purchase and to cover ALL the requirements of the UK's Distance Selling Regulations, for your protection.
Prices
All items on the Site include sales taxes (where applicable). Prices are subject to change at any time, however the price you buy at will be the price we supply at.
Purchases shall be deemed performed in Jersey and Jersey law shall govern every aspect of contractual agreement concerning purchases made from the Site.
Payment
On-line payment is via a secure credit card transactions site (check the security information below) and WE ACCEPT Switch / Solo / Maestro, Visa and MasterCard. We do not accept Electron. Your credit card statement will show your purchase is made from Intashop.
Security
Your on-line shopping experience is managed by us at Intashop. We use a Digital certificate so that your transactions are secure.
After you have added the required items into your basket in our store, you will click on the "Checkout" button - this will take you into a secure session. Also when you are in "My Account" or when you log in.
To establish if you are in a secure session with us, look out for the key or padlock symbol at the bottom of your Microsoft or Netscape browser on the screen that asks you for your credit card details. A secure session is established between your browser and us when either the key on your browser screen becomes solid (instead of broken) or the padlock is in a closed position (instead of open). You can also click on the solid key or closed padlock to view details of the secure certificate issued to us at www.benjerry.intashop.com. This means we are using enhanced encryption techniques to allow confidential data like credit card details or personal information to travel securely over open networks.
Your credit card information is only seen by the banking network and is never made available to Intashop or our partners. Much more secure than paying by credit card in the high street! However if your sale doesn't go through, it's because your bank or card issuer has refused the transaction - they don't tell us why!
Confirmation of order
When your order has been received by us, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link to your order. If you have ordered multiple items, you may receive separate order confirmations for the items. We will process your order as soon as we can and notify you again by email when it is put into the postal system. We will also send you a copy of the invoice with your goods.
We will send you what you have ordered (unless we make a mistake!) Our policy is not to substitute for other items if they become out-of-stock.
Cancellation of order
If you return the confirmation of order email back to the shop with CANCELLED ORDER in the subject box, before the order has been delivered to the postal sytem, we will endeavour to stop the mail-out process and credit your card with the full amount.
Prompt dispatch
We'll do our best to ensure all orders are dispatched as per the published schedule. If there are multiple items these may arrive in separate packages, at no extra charge. WE WILL EMAIL YOU WHEN WE HAVE POSTED YOUR ITEMS - ALLOW 5 WORKING DAYS AFTER RECEIVING THIS EMAIL FOR YOUR ORDER TO ARRIVE. If for some reason we can't send your order, we will tell you as soon as possible and keep you informed of progress.
